Pride in your Community – Improvements in your area
We will shortly be working in your area as part of our ‘Pride in Your Community’ investment programme. Over the next three years an additional £45 million will be invested into improving the Borough’s roads, pavements, street lights and structures. This includes the installation of energy efficient streetlights and road signs, a programme of road lining improvement as well as additional investment in repairing local roads and paths and environmental maintenance.
We had planned to start re-surfacing work in Webb Crescent on the 5th June with a road closure for workforce/traffic safety. With a General Election happening on the 8th June and a polling station situated at The Linden Centre in Webb Crescent we have decided to postpone this work, for a week, to allow unfettered access for voting. This work in Webb Crescent will now start on the 12th June.
We therefore plan to bring forward to the 5th June a re-surfacing scheme to improve the condition of Spring Hill, Dawley. The scheme is planned to take no more than 5 days. The work will be carried out by Telford & Wrekin Services Ltd. together with their specialist sub-contractor Premier Surfacing Ltd. The road will be closed for the duration of the works with “access to frontages only”. Residents will be asked not to park on the highway during the working day (8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday).
Please find attached the residents’ letter and traffic management plan for the scheme.
