General Data Protection Regulations

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect in the UK from 25th May 2018 and replaces the existing law on data protection (the Data Protection Act 1998).

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) gives individuals more rights and protection regarding how their personal data is used and this include Town & Parish Councils.

Great Dawley Town Council must comply with this regulation (GDPR).

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) does not replace the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The information displayed on Great Dawley Town Council’s website is designed to inform on the regulation and will demonstrate how the Town Council is working to be compliant with the regulation.
