Community Chest 2011
The Parish Council’s Policy & Finance Committee considered the applications at its meeting held on 27th June at Dawley House at 18:30.
The Committee made the following recommendations for consideration at the full Council Meeting held at the end of July:
The Bank Community Group – declined.
St Leonard’s Church – £2,456 subject to confirmation by the National Association of Local Councils.
Dawley Social Club – £5,930. The Council and the Dawley Social Club are look at the other areas (i.e other than the concert room) to see if they meet the guidelines.
Chairs and Spares – £550
West Telford Visually Impaired People (VIP) Group – declined.
Dawley Bank Horticultural Society – £5,000
AFC Telford Utd in Partnership with Phoenix Sports & Science College. Towards Coaching:£1,850 – This figure is based on a maximum possible of the coaching being 100% capital. AFC Telford Utd in Partnership with Phoenix Sports & Science College are to supply information supporting the revenue/capital split. Towards Awards: £225 – The National Association of Local Councils are to be asked to confirm that trophies are permissible as capital.
Phoenix School – Dawley Respect & Unity through Music – £6,000
Supporters of Music at Abraham Darby Academy – £5,000 on condition that the funding be used to provide equipment to the primary schools in the Great Dawley Parish area.
