Planning and Environment Meetings
The last meeting of the Planning and Environment Committee was held on 10 May 2012. At its meeting held on 26 March 2012, the Council resolved to delegate responses to planning applications to the Council’s Parish Warden and the Council’s assistant to the Clerk. If the officers believe a planning application to be controversial, it can then refer the matter to a working group of the Executive Committee. The Planning Working Group consists of a ‘pool’ of four Councillors, two of which are the Chair of the council and the Vice-Chair of the Council. A decision has to be reached by at least two members, of which one must be the Chair or the Vice-Chair. If the ‘pool’ decides that the application is controversial it then refers the matter to the Executive Committee.
