WEA Active Retirement
About the Group
We run a free, weekly, adult education class for those over 50. Over the years a number of subjects, from local history, to the environment, to ways to keep well and active have been covered. The group is currently studying language: why certain words are only used in certain areas, how language changes and develops over time and how words can take on new meanings.
A friendly, experienced tutor leads the class. It’s a very welcoming group, so it’s an opportunity to make new friends and have some fun, as well as learning something new.
The class runs every Tuesday from 10.00 to 12.00 during term time
