Friday Morning Fellowship

The land on which Dawley House stands was donated to Dawley by Martin Baily a local butcher.

The rest room as it was to be known was built in 1946. In 1996 we celebrated 50 years.

It was originally built for Dawley people to meet socially as there were no facilities for people to meet. It was always well attended and our membership was well over 100.

With the advent of social housing, home entertainment and public transport our membership has declined.

Since the Parish Council took over the building it has been revamped and brought into the 21st Century although the original parquet floor remains.

We meet every Friday Morning from 11am. For our weekly service which lasts about one hour.

We have local guest speakers followed by tea and biscuits and a communal chat.

We have trips out and lunches at local pubs.

The fellowship will continue as long as there are people who are lonely and still require friendship.

Everyone is welcome !
