Dawley History Group
About the Group
Dawley History Group is a group of interested volunteers keen to find out about and record Dawley rich and colourful past to preserve its history for future generations.
It has a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. It has an elected representation to the Wrekin Studies Forum and it reports regularly to the Dawley Regeneration Partnership Board.
Each year it aims to run 3 events on Dawley history, at least three walks as well as have regular publicised meetings which usually last about two hours. The first half of which is given over to individuals to share any historical information with the group and the remainder of the time is given over to History Group business.
The Group is open to anyone to join whatever age you are and whether or not you live in Dawley as long as you have an interest in its history- just come along, you’ll be most welcome.
