Six pupils from Mount Gilbert School in Dawley are headed to France today (28 SEP).

The pupils, along with teachers from the school, will be travelling on the Eurostar to begin their three day break in Paris.

There is a packed schedule of activities with the first evening taking in a trip up the Eiffel Tower to take in the stunning views of the city.

The party will be staying at a hostel for the duration of their trip, where it’s just a short trip into the heart of the city.

The second day will be no less fun with the day being spent at Disneyland Paris. The perfect end to an action filled day is a hour’s boat trip down the River Seine where everyone will have the opportunity to relax and take in the views of the city from the water.

And what better way to finish off a French adventure than to go for dinner where frogs legs and snails will be on the menu, a real treat for any of the students brave enough to give them a try!

Head teacher, Lisa Lyon, said: “I’m thrilled that a number of our students are off to enjoy the sights and culture of a foreign country. They are very excited about the trip and I know they will all have a fantastic time.

“I look forward to hearing all about their adventures when they return.”

The party will travel back from Paris on Friday.
