The Telford Trail Challenge Walk takes place along parts of The South Telford Way and The South Telford Heritage Trail starting from Telford Town Park.
The Telford Trail, organised by the South Telford Rights of Way Partnership, is a 11 mile long-distance walk through some of the most beautiful and historic urban countryside in South Telford. This Green Network contains areas of open space and landscape heritage of great ecological and conservation value.
The route is fully way-mark. The Telford Trail provides the opportunity for participants to complete a circular walk, with the option of shorter distances, for pleasure and as a way of raising money for charity.
Over the past seven years this annual event has raised around £20,000 for nominated charities or causes.
Greatly valued sponsorship is received from ‘All Terrain’ (outdoor clothing & equipment store) in Telford Town Centre. The entrant who raises the largest amount for a charitable or community cause will receive a £50 All Terrain Gift Voucher in recognition of their achievement.
