Come on down to Dawley Library to see some poetry written by local school children. Royal British Legion in Dawley is displaying some poetry competition entries at Dawley Library. The prize giving for the Annual School Poetry Competition was on the 10 April 2011. Because they had so many entries they will be displaying the entries at Dawley Library on the 24th May 2011.
The Gardening Service has started this week. Good progress is being made with the earthworks. Over 13000 tonnes of earth is moved and re-engineered everyday but there is still 2 million tonnes to go. Work is moving west along the north boundary behind Lancaster Avenue at present. Once this phase is complete, work will then continue eastwards back through Paddock Mount before moving onto the Portley Corner area later in the summer. Work will also begin shortly
