The Chair of Great Dawley Parish Council stated at the beginning of his term of service that his number one priority will be the introduction of a Gardening Service for those Parishioners that may require such assistance. The Parish Council approved and set the 2010/2011 budget, which included £3,000 for the Gardening Service.
During 2010 the Gardening service was delivered to over 40 residents.
At the Council Meeting held on 20 January 2011 the Parish Council set its Budget for all service delivery. The Gardening Service was retained and the budget increased to £5,000.
To be entitled to receive the Gardening Service, residents of the Great Dawley Parish must meet the following conditions: Have a disability and / or to be over 70 years of age. Documentary proof will be required. To help us to organise this new service we need to know the extent of demand.
