• A Christmas Message from The Chair of Great Dawley Town Council

‘Can I take this opportunity to wish a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2020 to all residents and visitors of Great Dawley. As we come to the end of 2019, we are looking back at a year that continues to make the community of Dawley and Malinlsee one to be proud of.

The Town Council have delivered some popular events over the past year, re-visiting classics like Dawley Day and the ever-popular Christmas Lights Switch Ons. We’ve also seen some new introductions like the seaside trip to Barmouth and the ‘Malinslee Big Picnic, which everyone had great fun attending. It’s been said that ‘there’s always something going on in Great Dawley’ and I would proudly agree.

Local people understand the needs of their area best and we are lucky to have residents giving us supportive feedback, using our services positively and maintaining strong links with the Town Council within the community. We hope this continues in 2020 where we are looking forward to delivering lots of new projects, services and events for our residents following their suggestions.

So, for now I’d like to say a BIG thank you to all residents, staff, volunteers and local businesses of Great Dawley, we hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.’

Chair of Great Dawley, Cllr Shaun Davies. December 2019
